Required Equipment

To begin collecting data with Katapult Pro, there are 3 required items:

• Main Camera - One of our approved cameras is needed in order to calibrate photos within +/- 3” accuracy at 50’ above ground. Click this link to view the list of our approved cameras and their required settings. 

• Height Stick - You will need known heights in the attachment height photos. The best way to do this is to use a height stick with known calibration targets at 16.5’, 14.5’, 10.5’, 6.5’, and 2.5’. We utilize a SECO 17’ leveling rod in the field. This height stick has red and white lines at each foot that allow photo calibration even when brush or branches cover calibration targets.

• Mobile Device - In order to interact with the design, associate photos, and make changes to the map, you will need a smartphone. The device should have internet access, or you can download jobs for offline collection.
