Cutouts are used to protect transformers and power equipment from current surges and overloads. They contain a fuse to disconnect power in the case of an overload. Often times, cutouts are accompanied by lightning arrestors which redirect electricity to ground.
You can use the equipment photo input to annotate cutout arrestors (again, where they are bolted to the pole). You will need to set the equipment type to cutout arrestor and assign the correct spec.
Look for cutouts and lightning arrestors above equipment and services such as transformers, streetlights, risers, etc. Cutouts can be bolted to the pole individually, have one or more on arms, or have three on a tri-mount bracket.
Cutouts and lightning arrestors can be attached to the pole.
At times, cutouts and lightning arrestors will be attached to tri-mount brackets.
Often times cutouts and lightning arrestors will be on arms.
Cutouts or lightning arrestors can appear on the same arms as the primaries, and may not be required to be annotated.
