Now that all photos have been classified and all poles are seeded on the map (either during predesign and/or after field collection) we can begin prepping nodes for extraction. It's useful to assign a Sequentially Coded Identifier, otherwise known as a SCID number. The order tool will automatically add the SCID attribute to poles and references accordingly. This attribute is used to help identify nodes on the map in an intuitive way plus will show up in common exports.
To get started, select the order tool and enter the starting SCID number (using 3 digits such as "001" is helpful). Choose if guy poles should use decimal numbers or not and then select your starting pole. Then you'll choose to order all or a subset of poles at a time.
The tool follows your connections in order to assign the SCID, so if all the poles in your job are connected with any connection type other than reference, you can use "Order All" to assign the SCID. If your route is broken up though with references, you may need to use the "Order Sub Group" option to draw a polygon around a specific group of connected poles at a time, and then repeat the process for additional groups.
