Map Styles & Notes

Clear communication is critical for data collection and can be represented through different attributes and map styles. Office staff can use various tools to leave instructions for field teams, ensuring efficient data collection and verification.

Map notes are used to communicate hazards or optional considerations, such as a pole added for guying purposes. These notes provide important context and specific instructions for field personnel working at each location.

The attribute "verify_location_in_field" can be used to change the icon on the map and signal field teams to check for accurate node placement. Field personnel can check the box once the node is confirmed to be located correctly, updating the status for office staff. 

The pickup and pickup_description attributes can be used when poles need to be recollected. Setting the pickup attribute to "field visit required" will place a red car icon on the map to signal field teams to recollect data at that location. The pickup_description attribute can be used to notify them of what specifically needs to be collected. Once they refield the pole, they can change the status to "pickup complete," which changes the map icon again. Once verified from the office, the status can be changed to "fully resolved."
